Feb 9 service notes:

Teds (shared last week) wife Anita shared this week. Grew up in Catholicism and over time became very empty. Grew up talking to and seeking and being hungry for God but hadn’t ever met Him and once got saved she knew she had received LiFe!

2 Cor 4:6-9
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure !!
in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:6-9 NIV)
Verses 8 and 9 show four encouragements!

We need to remember that back in Gen 3 God said to Satan that he would bruise Jesus heal but that Jesus would crush Satans head!

As the world gets increasingly worse we need to continually draw near to God.

Why has God put you and I here and are we asking God how and what we are to do?

God hasn’t abandoned you nor left you alone! He is with us always even to the end of the age.

God hasn’t abandoned us of whom shall we be afraid?

Psalm 55 – confuse the wicked oh Lord and confound them…He will never let the righteous fall…what can mortal man do??
