-Notice that Moses mother’s name is not remembered? Her name is Jochebed.
I wonder how hard it must have been for Moses mother to put her 3 month old son into the crocodile infested Nile.
-consider all the Godly mothers of the bible, what faith they had in God! EG: Hannah who gave Samuel to Eli’s corrupt household, Jesus mother Mary had to really trust God in many ways.
-all of us at one point have to let go of our children and trust them into God’s hands
-this can be a touchy subject but some of us have had to give up our children way before our time for multiple reasons, God knows exactly what’s going on, we can trust Him. God doesn’t want us living in regrets, God paid for that with Jesus on the cross.
-offspring is an important word in the Old Testament.
-the word seed speaks of our eternal value, we need to let our seeds (trusting our children to God) go, if we don’t sow they’ll never grow
-Trust God that HE has our children in His hands
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”(NIV)
