Pastor Stan shared how awesome the men’s prayer retreat (themed Team) was to build unity: AN awesome light show Friday night with the most amazing Northern Lights most of us have seen in our lives. Wonderful worship and an exercise in exhortation for each other was remarkably powerful.
Crystal shared:
-Why do we come to Potter’s? Some reasons maybe good, some bad.
-1 Cor 2: the spirit searches all things even the deep things of God…
-Most of us here know the Lord, is anything changing in our life or are we plateaued? Have our prayers changed? Have we seen God doing new things?
-is our HUNGER for Him increasing? The more time you spend with Him the more you want Him.
-God is always calling us to deeper waters and deeper levels of intimacy.
-it’s okay to have rocky roads and tough things to go through as it challenges us to push into God.
-we have a great thing going at the kitchen, come down it’s amazing, many don’t know Him and just need a friend.
-I’d like to encourage you to open your life up to go deeper with Him.
-we need to cut out the things that distract and keep us from spending time with Him
-BE WITH PEOPLE who have a deep hunger for God, it will spur your hunger on for more of Him
-we have received the Spirit from God to touch the world
-BE HUNGRY for God!
Brother Pauline preached the word:
-our God is a risen Savior, we can’t celebrate the resurrection of Jesus once a year but RATHER Daily!
Ephesians 1:19-23
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.(NIV)
-He has given us great power to live a Holy life!
-We are the address, the residence, the place where the power of God resides
-Paul makes it very clear here that God’s mighty power that raised Christ is made available to you and I today.
-we need to align our life with the truth of the Gospel
-this passage is a Paul’s prayer for the church
-What is that surpassing Great Power?
Phil 3:1-20
-knowing God’s power is a lifelong process because we have received more revelations of WHO God is.
Philippians 3:10
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,(NIV)
Philippians 3:12
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.(NIV)
-We must press on, NEVER give up!
Knowledge comes from experiencing Him.
-the same power that raised Christ from the dead is the the same power that saves us
-What is the greatest power that has ever been released on the earth? wind, earthquake, flood, bombs? NO!!!! It’s the release of the Holy Spirit for us to spread the gospel. If we do not plug into His power that has been made available to us, what a waste!
coll 1:27
-this power is only available if you have received Jesus as savior and sanctify-er of your lives.
-how do you know you’ve been truly born again? If you know that Jesus truly shed His blood on the cross for you and that He is the only way to make heaven then you know that your blind eyes have been opened to see His mighty power and the He is your only need. Your heart, desire and aim in life will be changed.
-without your eyes opened the message of the Cross will be total foolishness, but to us who have received His spirit we know that it is the power of God unto salvation.
-His power is above and all encompassing, all other powers are under the feet of Jesus including sickness.
-everything will be subjected to that power.
Psalm 110:1
The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”(NIV)
-every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.(NIV)

You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:(NIV)
The first Adam lost the power BUT the second ADAM (the Lord Jesus) took the power back and we have it again through Him.
-another way to say it is; man lost paradise but through Christ we have it back again
-even though Satan is still in operation BUT even Satan’s power is only able to operate under God’s power.
-Satan is under God’s Leash.
Don’t miss His power! It’s available for all of us and if you know Him it’s already inside all of us so make use of it!

It’s time to press on, don’t give up, don’t quit, don’t opt out. Choose to keep going, choose to not give up. Are you ready to fight and choose life, take a stand!
