PK from the Lazarus House shared a short word
Brother Pauline shared the word of God:
John 2:1-11
On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.(NIV)

Gods power is to change something that is ordinary to something that is NOT ordinary but extaordinary. Water is ordinary but water into wine is EXTRAordinary.

If you need a miracle INVITE Jesus into your life. Someday sooner or later our ‘wine’ will run out and we will need Jesus to be very present in our life, hopefully we’ve invited Him in before our crisis.

To release Gods power do as Mary did and OBEY the Lord Jesus, obedience is key to every miracle!

JESUS is the wine, if you’ll drink of Him you’ll have your miracle.

Jesus honored marriage as he showed up.

Notice Mary, she simple gave Him the report in verse 3, “they have no more wine”. She never commanded Him to do anything.

This is a great picture of the Law (purification) under Moses VERSUS Grace under the Lord Jesus Christ. The Law kills but Grace brings life.

Jesus will bless us both physically and spiritually!

Notice the pots were empty, some of us need to empty our lives of somethings as well.

Just because God has done a miracle one way for someone doesn’t mean he’ll do it again another way for someone else. We must get close to him and hear his voice.

God always saves the best for last, if we stay faithfully serving the Lord THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

final points:

-Jesus is better than Mary, she is not equal, the same or over Jesus. Who came to who when there was a problem? Mary came to Jesus, she submitted to Him and so should we.

-Let’s refill our cup with the wine from the Lord, let HIM be the Joy of your salvation.

-He gives more than enough! Look at His miracles, there was always leftovers! (I the writer LOVE leftovers!!).
