Jesus said, “but go and learn what this means:”…
Me being who I am, well I went and learned what it meant!

Holy Spirit, breath on My brothers and sisters, breath healing and a renewed spirit, breath, life and truth into their path. Amen!

Matthew 9:13 ►NIV
But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

◄ Hosea 6:6 ►NIV
For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

◄ Psalm 51:17 ►NIV
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

…the only people who are hurt by the truth, are those who are living a lie. truth be told, the only people who believe that it’s a requirement that “sin” be punished, are those who have unconfessed, unrepentant sin.

Galatians 5:22-23New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Mercy, grace, forgiveness, love, kindness and humility can only shine through a life that has known a broken and a contrite heart, the truth about a broken and a contrite heart, is that the brokenness, and the contriteness need to be visited on a regular basis.
Through a life that understands, it’s the Holy Spirits job to point out sin, it’s not mine, nor is it yours!

God, I pray you take away our requirements of sin, and replace them with our very real required command, to sow mercy, sow grace, sow humility, sow kindness and love!!

Holy Spirit, you are welcomed on the alter of my heart. “Shalom”
