Matthew 28:16-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. -Authority is something that is given to us to accomplish a task

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”(NIV)
-the earth became our domain, a sphere of control for us is another way to say it.
Psalm 115:16
The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to man.(NIV)
-Satan boasted in the desert when tempting Jesus that he had dominion over the entire creation because Adam gave it to him BUT when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven He took back ALL AUTHORITY and gave it back to use.
Daniel 7:27
Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.'(NIV)
-Jesus left that authority to the Church for us to occupy and have dominion and spread His Kingdom
-God has given authority over the earth to the Church!!!!!
-if you hunger for more to build HIS kingdom He will empower you as long as your not trying to build your own kingdom
-Let’s give God permissions to act, we need to know what He wants here which is the importance of prayer. Prayer is how we come to know the will of God and know what He wants to do through us.
-while we are praying it’s important to also be listening to what God is telling us
-we don’t have power, we have Authority, God has the power so we have to rely on Him.
-He is looking for people who can channel His blessings to people in this city, province.
Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”(NIV)
-Jesus was explaining the way that prayer and authority works, we can bind up heaven by failing to pray! Without our authority that is in our hands from God by Jesus death, without that authority God cannot act. By that same act we can release the power of heaven into the Earth by PRAYER. It only takes 2 or 3 of us to agree together on What God wants to do.
Think about just before the Messiah was born, remember the couple who were praying every day. Simon & Anna: notice they kept praying together and agreeing together. This allowed God to send Jesus. Just like Hannah’s prayer that gave the Lord power to move and give her a son.
-if we don’t give our authority Heaven will be bound, we need to release that authority to allow God to act. We need to release that authority to allow God’s power to flow.
-this is a key to seeing miracles on a consistent basis.
Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”(NIV)
-God has left it upto the church to release that Power!
-it is Gods power BUT it is under our authority
God has already done His part and placed that authority in us. It is our responsibility to release that power.
Gods word is clear that it is we who are to heal the sick.
