Hebrews 10:19-22
Jesus removes our guilty conscious and the SHAME!!! The very feeling of shame He has also removed therefore do not hide.
Gen 3:6-10
-notice the end of this….. “So I hid”.
Truths:
-You can’t hide from God!!
-Anyway we try to hide DOEST work, Adam and Eve’s fig leaves didn’t work
-all our covering up just looks like a bunch of falling apart fig leaves
As a kid who’s bad at hiding and his feet are sticking out YOU AND I ARE BAD HIDERS……He sees your feet sticking out!!
We can’t cover up our shame, we need a COVERING (the BLOOD) that truly covers and deals with.
It’s time to start walking in freedom and victory and FREEDOM!!!
One of the main reasons we are not walking in power is due to shame.
Our sin is no longer accounted to us in Christ it’s done away with.
Rom 4:7-8
Blessed is the man who’s sin is no longer counted against him
Our best efforts at covering looks like a bunch of falling leafs falling apart
Out of His immense kindness and Love he made them garments that fit and didn’t fall apart!!
God always provides an answer a sacrifice, He offered the first for Adam and Eve so they could have a more permanent covering foreshadowing the perfect sacrifice of Christ.
Remember there is no shame anymore it’s done away in Christ. The GOODNEWS God says to us today is we can release our shame unto Him. We are no longer identified by what we have done!
Psalm 34:5 those who look to Him are radiant their faces are never covered with shame
We need to look to Him!
