What is true repentance? What does it look like? Genuine surrender to Jesus?
There will be good fruit, noticeable spiritual fruit produced. There will be a change of lifestyle, a proof of transformation.
Good deeds do not save you, but they are a result of being saved.
Generosity, kindness, mercy, honesty, integrity…these are just a couple examples that John spoke of. The opposite of self-centeredness. Disentitlement.
Thank you Jesus for showing us the perfect example of bearing fruit of the spirit, for stooping down to our level and loving us so much it even cost us Your life.
